SEA is a member of America Forward, an initiative to connect social enterprise with policymakers promoting innovative solutions to solving our nation's social problems. The American Sustainable Business Council is a national coalition of mission-driven businesses, social enterprises, and sustainable business networks working to create a just and sustainable economy. Members of the Council include: Social Enterprise Alliance, Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), Fourth Sector Network, New Voice of Business, B Corporation, Green America and Social Venture Network. The Forward Together Declaration encourages individuals in nonprofits to declare to ourselves, the general public, and our natural partners in local, state, and federal governments that the nonprofit sector adds value, contributes enormously, and must not be taken for granted. The Declaration offers concrete ways nonprofits can reinvigorate the partnership between the government and nonprofit sectors to address our country's economic challenges and improve the quality of community life. The New Economy Roundtable works to shift the dynamics of public discourse and public policy in the wake of the global economic crisis to highlight alternative structures and strategies that support an equitable and sustainable economy. The V3 Campaign will make the voice of the social enterprise and non-profit movement heard, its value realized, and its votes counted in EVERY election.
